Three Paid Personal Days
All full-time, benefits-eligible staff receive three paid personal leave days per calendar year. You must successfully complete the new employee probationary period to receive personal days.
The Data Center understands that rest, relaxation, and stress reduction are very important for our employees' well-being and health. After one year of service, employees are offered 80 hours of vacation time per year. For every five years of service, vacation time accrual increases by an additional 40 hours a year, with a maximum of 200 vacation hours per year offered after 20 years of service.
Sick Leave Wellness Incentive Program
All employees earn sick leave at the rate of 4.6 hours for 80 or more hours of work per pay period while on active pay status. Employees may be eligible to participate in our Wellness Incentive Program, which allows you to convert unused sick leave to payout based on how much of it you have used during the designated "wellness period."
Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)
OPERS provides retirement, disability, and survivor benefit programs for public employees throughout the state who are not covered by another state or local retirement system.
457 Savings Plan (Two Options)
Franklin County offers a choice of two 457(b) tax deferred savings plans that enable you to supplement your retirement savings. Contributions are sheltered from federal and state taxes; earnings are not taxed until withdrawn.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP offers confidential support for everyday challenges and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Services are accessible to any member of your household at no cost, but you must be in a benefits-eligible employment classification. Examples of EAP services include assistance for Elder Care, Fitness and Weight Control, Behavioral Health Issues, Loss and Grief, Education and Personal Development, and Financial Planning.
Our employees are eligible to join a local credit union. A credit union ATM is available in the building.

Commuter Program (reduced COTA rates)
The Franklin County Employee Public Transportation Program offers employees an opportunity to pay for COTA bus fares at only 20% of the regular bus fare rate (via payroll deduction).

The Data Center Human Resources Department will contact those applicants who meet minimum position qualifications to be interviewed. What are your business hours?
The Data Center business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours support is available to our agency customers through the Franklin County Data Center Help Desk line.
